Two years ago I volunteered in Virginia with Get Out the Vote efforts for the VA Democrats. I handed out info at Metro stops in Northern Virginia. Northern Virginia leans more toward the Democrats than much of the rest of the state, so the feedback was mostly positive, although there was one snarky guy who said that "he voted for Kerry before he voted against him." I was feeling hopeful on Election Day, but by that evening I was pretty depressed. So I was so relieved this time around, and also glad that there wasn't a dragged out recount in Virginia, don't know if my heart could have taken it!
